I have a 95 gtx with a bad motor. My friend has a 97 motor. Can I bolt this engine in my boat ?? What mods will need to be done to acheive this if at all. Thanks for any help.

Nope. It's not a bolt on, I'm assuming you're talking a 97 GTX motor. The 95 is a 657, and the 97GTX is a 787, completely different motors. So while nothing is impossible its not a bolt up. You'll need the MPEM wiring harness DESS post, carbs., exhaust, pretty much everything from the 97.

The 717/720 would be close, but you would still need the carbs. and MPEM. Probably better to try to find another 657 or buy a short block.
