Hey guys, first off I'm new here, virgin post on this forum! But anyhow, ive done some research on this and called around but anyhow ill get to the point, ive got a 94 Sp ive had it a year or so, and I wanted to change out the pump fluid before I put it in the water this spring, and living in Michigan its starting to get a little warmer finally, so I started taking the bolts out and one was pretty much broken before i even touched it and the other 2 snapped with hardly any pressure, so I had purchased a used pump off ebay with a brand new SBT wear ring installed in it, so I started installing it and the impeller will hardly even fit in the wear ring, i had to use a rubber mallet to get it to fit. Also I noticed my ski has a solas 14-19 impeller on it, so I figured it was nice and tight so i tried to put it together but i couldn't even spin it with all my might so i took it back out lubed it up and reinstalled it, still same thing, I even tried rachet strapping a board to it to spin it, it does spin that way but you need about 2 foot of leverage for it to work. So I guess I'm here for some knowledge, ive been seeing that the SBT wear ring is 139.5MM and the prop is 140MM and from what ive been told is Solas tightened up there tolerances to help with performance so its slightly larger. Should I take the new wear ring back out and replace it with a seadoo wear ring or what? btw after 3 hours of working the impeller into it, i still cannot get the motor to turn over at all so this is obviously not working.
