my 93 runs great but has catavation when taking off its really bad when i try to ride double on it whats causing it and what do i need to do to fix it? i dont know alot about seadoos so please explain clearly thanks

You really need to add your seadoo model and year to your avatar for future problems. It sounds like the wear ring in the impeller is in need of replacement. The wear ring is a plastic ring around the impeller. If the gap or clearance is too great it looses pump pressure and causes cavatation, high rpm's and low forward thrust. Here is some information on the wear ring clearance. Wear Ring clearance for your seadoo 1.0 mm or (.040in) Measure the clearance at the center of the impeller blades, with a 12” long gauge. Measure the clearance from the venturi side of the jet pump. The wear ring sells for about $25 -to $60.00, depending on where you get it from. It is something you could replace yourself if you are mechanically inclined.

i dont know a thing about jetskis, is the impeller the fan like blade? and do i need to remove the entire back half the comes out the back of the ski to replace the wear ring? thanks

Here's a write-up I did on a wear ring a while ago. (with Pics)

But... if your cavitation is bad enough that it won't go with 2 people on it... the gap between the ring and the impeller would have to be huge. While you have the pump out servicing it... I would pull out the drive shaft seal and replace it. (or rebuild it) When they leak... the pump will pull air past it, and give cavitation as bad as you are describing.

Venturi Q's

I am having the same issue on my 98 GTI so I will check the seal as well even though it does not take on water while sitting idle. I have a question about the venturi (not sure if that is the correct name) I just replaced the wear ring, impeller in great shape w/ proper clearance and noticed the edges of the venturi, next to the impeller, had chips broken away, 1/4" to 1/2" and some of the remaining edages were bent a little sideways 1/8" or so. Can these damaged venturi blades cause cavitation behind the impeller as well? This is really bad when my wife and I try to take off and it does nothing but cavitate.
