93 GTS Help Needed

I am new here and seem to have a similar problem with my ski as others. I cannot start it up. I went to start it last week and got the engine to turn but the ski did not start. Sounded like a weak battery. I charged the battery and put it back in and got nothing. When I push the start button nothing happens. No sounds, nothing. I checked my fuses and both the 5A and 15A are fine. I am cleaning the negative battery ground right now and am going to try to start it later tonight. Could my starter switch or lanyard switch be bad? Any help would be appreciated.

Batteries don't last much more than a season. If they sit along time, then get charged up, they will have the volts, but not CCAs. Take it to an auto parts and
they can Load Test it, usually for free of charge. Whats the history of your ski,
from last season? please explain in detail. Lots of help here from Very Talented Guys.
Do you have watercraft knowledge? or newby. First you have to have proper electrics, and gas.

I have been starting the ski once a month up until January just to keep them fresh. We have had a lot of rain in So. Cal over the last 2 months and I did not have a chance to start it. The battery was replaced at the beginning of last year and has been working well since it was installed. I have never done any of the maintenance on the ski since I have had it (2007), but am trying to save some money by getting it ready for the season myself. I am new to these but have worked on my cars off and on over the years. My weakness would be the electronics.

I will take your suggestion and get the battery load tested and post what the outcome of that is.

Once you verify the battery is good/get a new one, and still having issues starting, locate the relay and jump the 2 post. If starter kicks over, you'll need a new relay. So Cal., whereabouts?

Took the battery to get tested and was told it needed acid before they could run a test on it? I just added acid this morning and am charging it again. I will post the results when I test it again.

They misled you. After the initial acid fill when a battery is new, you NEVER add acid. When the level goes down, you can only add water.
When you buy your new battery, get a Yuasa battery and a good smart charger. If properly maintained, a high quality battery will last at least 3 - 5 years in a PWC. Over time, a battery will lose it's charge just from sitting. Being such a small battery in a PWC, they will lose their charge must faster than you car battery. Never let a battery sit in a discharged state as it will sulfate and not fully take a charge. If you don't have a smart charger to leave on it during storage, charge it once a month with a trickle charger.

Thanks for the info. I checked the bottle they sold me and it says it is an electrolyte that contains sulfuric acid. I smelled the solution and it does not have any acid smell. Regardless, I just pulled the battery out of my running 99 GTX Limited and tried to start my 93 with no luck. Still no sounds whatsoever.
Seadooya mentioned locating a relay and jumping the 2 posts. I looked at my manual of the electrical box and don't see a relay. Other posts mentioned the rectifier, which I can locate on the diagram. Where might the relay be and how do I jump the posts?

Locate where the red cables enter the ebox, open it up, and you'll findthe 2-post. With battery hooked up, jump those post, the starter should kick outand engage the flywheel.. I'm in Placentia, bud.

Okay! I just jumped the 2-post and the starter kicked up just like you said. What part do I need to replace and do you have a good source for the part?
