91' 580cc Yellow engine O-ring and gasket question

Hi, I recently put a new starter on my 91' seadoo but I forgot to purchase a new starter gasket for it. Will I be ok without a gasket on the starter? I'm guessing probably not since water could get in without it. I really don't want to take it all apart again but I will if i have to.

Also, anyone know where I can buy the large o-ring for the side engine cover that seals the starter wheel, magneto, etc. Its #36 here http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/pwcpartsstore/Seadoo_OEM/Seadoo_PWC.asp?Type=13&A=4&B=22
