1990 SP has a hard start when warm, have to give throttle when cranking. Once it starts it runs great, if shut down and restarted right away its ok, but if it sits 10-15 mins, it hard starts in the water. Just bought it, everything else ok, started great cold out of the water. Also, wont idle in the water, is it just that the idle is too low? Or low speed mixture screw? Thanks

If *plugs are wet the carb needs gone true. If not, measure the RV clearance and
have the cover machined back to spec. The proceedure is in the Shop Manual. Bills86e

You could try raising the idle a little... but it's a 20 year old engine. I would check the compression to make sure it's at an acceptable level. (150 psi is perfect, 135, it should still run)
