I was going along pretty good in some waves and coming out of the water and sometimes it would rev before landing.

Now anything much above idle just revs and the ski doesn't really move any faster.

It fells like a spun propellor hub on a boat.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Probably the wear ring, check it first. The clearance between the impeller and the wear ring should be no more than .040", about the thickness of a dime.

I am with the others,, wear rind or splines...

In either case, you will need to pull the pump at a minimum..

I bet it's the splines. I tied it up and ran it and there is water squirting out under a clip for the exhaust.

Any ideas on this? The stream would change with RPMs

Might just be time to part this thing out.

I can see the picture, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing. Is that the driveshaft? It might be time to rebuild the carrier bearing.

There is a small stream of water squirting out of a hole in the glass a couple of inches below the silver exhaust mount

Thanks for looking

It only leaks when the engine is running and changes with RPMs.

It's tough to see leaning over while running it tied to the dock!
