89 $ 90 SP throttle cable question

Hello all. I have a 1989 & 1990 SP totally rebuilt. They have been upgraded to Mikuni Super BN carbs. They have been converted to premix (block off kit with oil to and from the rotary gear). Here is my problem... On both skis I can not adjust the throttle cable to get full motion from the butterfly in the throat of the carb. If I adjust the cable so it rest on the idle adjustment screw, it will not let the carb open to full throttle. If I adjust the cable for full throttle then it does not rest on the idle stop. So I am not getting full range on the stock cable. Now from doing some research, I see that a 1992 SP went to the Super BN carb stock. I was thinking of ordering that throttle cable, but I would like to just order a single stand alone throttle cable and not the dual Throttle / Oil pump cable. Does anyone know what single throttle cable I need to get a full range of motion from my Super BN carb? I ran them this way last season after the rebuild for break in I figured if they could not go full throttle then that was fine. This year I would like to get that last little bit of throttle out of them. Any help would be great. I was going to PM Dr. Honda but I figured if I posted this that it might help someone else with a simular problem. Any help would be gtreat.

Does it have aftermarket grips on it?

X2.

Aftermarket grips are a little thicker, and don't let the throttles open. You may have to trim a little notch in the rubber. On my 90 Si, it's VERY close to not opening full with waffle Scott ATV grips. (and they are thin)

Ok, it is not the grips. It is the cable itself. After inspecting the cable further, the outside rubber is stretched from being 20yrs old I guess. Does anyone know where I can get a single throttle cable? I am premixing so I don't want to have to pay 50+$ for a double cable and have the oil cable flapping around asking to get caught on something and hang up the throttle when I want to stop.

Motion Pro will custom make a cable. Give them a length, and the type of ends... and they will make it.
