I am looking to buy (or fabricate a compression tool) for a 787. Can any of you give me the name of a good generic compression tool or give me the diameter of the pistons? I was thinking I could use a PVC pipe to fabricate one if I could find the right diameter.

Huu?

A compression tool is a gauge for pressure.

If you are talking about a ring compressor... don't bother. Just hold them in by hand as you slide the jug over it.

Yep, that is it. Sorry, I know about cylinder compression and transposed the term with compressor. I haven't done a top end rebuild alone and the last one I was involved in was a pain....however it was on a yami that the 2 cylinders jugs were one unit and could not slide down one jug at a time. Thanks for the info Dr Honda.
