So I have my crank case split at the moment and I'm cleaning everything for reassembly.
I believe the two bolt sizes are M10x1.5 and M8x1.25, correct?
When I went to run the bolts through a die to clean the threads the M8's run through as expected but the M10's seem to bind after a few turns. I put a thread gauge on them and they're definitely 1.5 thread.
I then tried tapping the block holes and it was the same thing.
I experienced this when I went to clean the threads on my exhaust manifold to pipe thread holes and bolts.
What's up with this? It seems to be only M10 bolts and holes I'm having an issue with... am I doing something wrong?
