Hi all. Long time no talk. But that’s a good thing. Haha. Just rebuilding my carbs, I have a 1998 sportster twin 717’s single carbs . The pop off Pressure in the shop manual shows 38 (+-12) . But a few years ago I replaced one engine with a “white” 717 instead of the gray one that came in the boat. Is the pop off pressure still the same ?? I can’t remember the year of ski it came out of... but are all 717’s the same ?

1997 was the only year of the 720 single carb no accelerator pump and uses the Black 80 gram spring with 1.5 needle and seat.
1998 Used an accelerator pump and 95 gram springs with 1.5 needle and seat.
1999 and up used and accelerator pump, a 115 gram spring with 2.0 needle and seat.

It’s in a 1998 seadoo sportster 1800 . No acc pump . One white engine, and one gray ..1998 carbs on both. the engine in question is who knows what year. But it’s white.... so go with the Manuel 38 psi +-12 ?
