717 cylinder o-ring

I need some clarification,my top end had small O-rings around the top of each cylinder basically as the head gasket. The wsm kit has the same o-rings but the manual says loctite 515 in the o-ring groove. Is that with the o-ring or in place of the o-ring. The manual makes no mention of 515 and then use the o-ring.

The o-ring alone should be all that you need, no extra sealant for the combustion chamber. Yes, it is what you would call the head gasket along with the water jacket seals.
