ipod PICTURESSS 077.jpghi, on my xp I was going to put in my battery and I didnt tke note of what wires went where on the battery. I know there is supposed to be 1 ground wire from e-box and another black wire for engine ground and then there is this other black wire and 2 red wires....I only remember 1 red wire and 2 black wires

Thanks

Well the red wire is part of a fuse holder, the P.O. probably had an accessory wired to the battery, maybe a bilge pump, the third black wire with the yellow terminal is most likely the ground for the added accessory. You might want to trace those two wires and see where they go, if the accessory has been removed, the remove the wiring.

I'm with Lou...

The other black wires do not look to be like an OEM setup. Trace them for sure..

ipod PICTURESSS 083.JPG this red wire comes from that little black box in the pic with the tape on it...it isnt even fastened to anything its just loose and rattles around, it has some wires that go to my VTS and wires that lead to the grey box up front I think called the MPEM. the black wire with the yellow crimp in the first pic goes to the large black box and the wire without the yellow crimp goes to the small black box in the this pic. Any ides of if there is something strange going on here or is it normal I really dont know much about electrical on this ski.

thanks

Does your VTS function? It could be a trim fix, it's an aftermarket controller for the VTS. What does the other side of the box say?

For right now the only wires that need to be connected are the pos. lead to the solenoid, the neg. lead to motor ground, both of these are large cables, and a small black lead to the rear ebox, connected to the neg. battery terminal.

hi lou, the box has no words on it at all on either side nothing. The trim works fine so far I just need to fasten it in a safe place somewhere in the hull, hot glue or tie wraps so it does not rattle and dangle until it destroys it self.

thanks
