2020 Spark 2up IBR gate will not raise fully

My IBR gate is not fully raising when in the forward position. I do not have the VTS system on the ski. Is there a way to manually override the IBR system without having the VTS system? I can only find tutorials that use VTS. It appears to raise slightly out of the neutral position but causes a lot of drag. It will get up on plane after a struggle but the jet is obviously being deflected by the gate and causes a "rooster tail" type effect. Any suggestions on how to address this issue is much appreciated.

according to the model range of the jet ski, you can find all the information about your jet ski on the website brp.

perhaps the wrong model range of the watercraft is installed
