Hey everyone, taking my GTX limited's to the beach for a week and they will be in salt water all week tied to a dock when not in use. What are some pre-steps I can take to avoid corrosion and things to do while down there. I bought XPS anti-corosion oil but need to know what to spray and what not to. Thanks everyone looking forward to the tips.

I'd spray XPS on everything in the entire engine bay - everything (less the carbon seal). Coat the shi* out of it.

Will it be covered? If not, I'd find something to cover the gauge...it's possible it could crack under extreme sun/heat.

Yea it will have the factory covers on them when not in use

Lord Almighty, I have my skis in saltwater constantly and they are fine. Y'all think saltwater is the devil, but it rinses right off. As long as you aren't getting a ton in your hull, everything should be fine. When you are finished with your trip, which sounds awesome by the way, rinse with Salt-A-Way and wash everything, including trailer down with it as well. Run it through the motor and ensure you keep some in the system to bond to metal parts to give you some extra protection. All the exterior parts should be fine with a good wash and rinse. Overall, I would focus on having fun more than what salt water is doing to your jetski.

Thanks everyone ill spray down any metal lower in the hull and keep the covers on and spray with salt away when complete. Thanks everyone for the tips.

If I understand you post correctly you are leaving the ski in the salt water when not in use, not on a trailer, right? If so you won't be able to flush the exhaust and intercooler. Also it doesn't take long for the hull to foul in warm salt water....I wouldn't do this with my ski's....

FWIW my 2001 GTX RFI spends way more hours in the salt water between rinses and flushes than your one week of them floating there. And I don't have rust problems and my hull is fine. Just go have fun. My 2021 Wake Pro 230 is about to live it's summers on a jet dock as well without worry.
