Ok Guys I Need some help...Here's the story I bought my 2013 sea doo 2 months ago, and noticed right out of the box it ran great top speed 54mph, but after 4 trips to lake it seems to be loosing power, and oil. It will not go faster than 48mph, and uses a quart of oil in less than 2hrs. The plugs are clean, no fouling and no oil leaking anywhere that I can see. I have no power out of hole in the sport mode, it feels s if I'm in touring mode there's that big of a difference. It's been in shop they checked the codes nothing coming up, and sense I live in the Dallas tx area I can't find any decent techs who seem to know what they are doing in trying to diagnose or isolate the problem. It has 9hrs on it and after 4 trips to lake it has gotten worse and worse every time. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. The problem you are talking about sure seems strange with hat few hours. Try posting this in the 4-Tek PEC section of the forum. Someone there should have some ideas in what to do. Good luck.

2013 SeaDoo GTI 130 SE usig oil

Ok guys I need some help! I have a 2013 sea doo 130 GTI SE and it ran great out of the box 54mph and lots of torque in sport mode was very pleased. It has been in the water 4 times and every time after my first run it has lost power and the speed dropped from 54 to 52 and now its 48 mph. The power has dropped a lot, and noticed it seems as if I'm in the touring mode when it's in the sport mode. No out of hole power in sport mode. The machine has 9 hrs on it as of today. Also another concern I have noticed it is using oil as well. It used almost a full quart during the first 5 hrs. Also I put it in the sport mode and it wouldn't go over 36mph took picture if this with my phone. The plugs are not fouled and have been changed by the dealer as well as injectors checked as well. Where is the oil going??? is my question, as well as the loss of power. I have sense put another quart of oil in it again. Going to contact SEA Doo tomorrow I can't seem to find any savvy techs in my area, and can't trust them either, and that pretty sad to say. I'm a crane operator and am not stupid, but there's just not any mechanics who know jack S... about what there doing...Thanks

By chance are you using the learner key?

Are you getting good engine top end RPM's but poor performance?

If so, you likely sucked something up in the impeller and or damaged the wear ring.

Being a 2013 it is all covered short of neglect on your behalf. So I wouldn't worry to mush just yet. Though it is frustrating I'd imagine...

I would guess that if you are using that much oil that is what is affecting your top end and your performance.

I have merged the threads into the 4-tec forum and left a 30 day redirect from the Meet and Greet post.

I pride myself on taking very good care of my machines just like my automobiles and boats. Yes I am frustrated to the point I may take it back and tell them where to stick it. Yes it's covered under warranty, but never in my life have I ever been so disappointed with a product as I have with BRP. I have never had this much trouble out of one single car, boat, motorcycle until now.

The sad thing is there is no dealers in my area that know enough or care enough to isolate the problem. It's sad there is no people coming up in all the trades who want to learn anymore...Thanks And I live in the Dallas tx area
