GTI SE 90

I have a 2017 GTI SE 90, it had an oil leak. Had it fixed but when I was riding at 4 mph in a no wake zone, the service required notice and check engine came on. I shut the engine restarted and did not get the message again. I checked and the oil was low. Would it be better to use the 5W-40 full synthetic rather than the recommended synthetic blend?

Either is fine. BRP is switch to full synthetic instead of the blend.
