Just bought this Sea Doo used (2012 RXT 260), after a couple of uses the Low Voltage warning came on. I have checked the battery and charged it. When I use the Jet SKi a couple of times the warning comes on again, as if the battery is not being charged when under power. Any Suggestions?

Had the battery checked, was good. I am thinking it is something in the charging system, it just slowly drains the battery !

Check the voltage at the battery with the ski running. At 5000 rpm your charging system should have 14.4 volts and 10 amps of current.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I have a volt meter hooked up to the battery when I am running it and the highest voltage when I start out is 12.28 volts and it just steadily goes down from there slowly.

Check you connections from the stator to the rectifier. They use a Deutsch connector where they have been known to have issues - tell tale is the wires look overheated. You should use the procedures in the manual to check the stator and the rectifier circuit.

Thanks for the input, I traced the wires from the stator back to the rectifier and found that the connector between them, the wires had corroded right off the connector. Bypassed the connector and it works as it should. Thanks again !

One other small problem I am having is my analog speedometer is not working but my digital on is. Any thoughts on what it could be ?

more than like it is the speedo itself. I believe they get the same signal and are based on the GPS. You can download the wiring diagram and confirm.

I should have asked, when you wake up the ski, does the tach and the speedo do a power up sweep? All the indicator lights on the tach and speedo show up? If it doesn't sweep, it is something in the movement for the speedo. Some people have tried taking the front bezel off and freeing up the needle. A new one I believe is around 600 bucks and you will either need the BUDS tool or CandooPro to marry the cluster to the ecu.

You are so helpful, thanks again, I will look for what you suggested and down load the wiring diagram. I just found it funny that the digital speed worked and the analog speed didn`t !

Had an issue with my Challenger Boat. Port engine analog tach worked, starboard tach didn't but the digital display worked. Had to change out the cluster.
