.. back to the new 260hp ski running only 45mph out of the box .. Yep, the supercharger hose came off (discharge from supercharger) - Dealer dug down, found it off, slipped it back on & tightened the hose clamp. ( I watched - he tightened it.)
Now, here are my observations:
-- don't let the clips (inlet box) fall into the hull when removing air box
-- the supercharger discharge flange is straight. No barbs, no ridges, nothing to help grab the hose
-- the hose clamp is only about 1/2" wide .. to hold on the 3" hose. The discharge flange is about 1 1/2" wide
-- SeaDoo needs to issue a maintenance upgrade on this problem
I'm going to fix the thing myself this weekend by:
-- cleaning the discharge flange (squeeky clean)
-- cleaning the inside of the hose (squeeky clean)
-- adding a 2nd hose clamp and cranking it down
(shouldn't void the warranty, huh?)
Any thoughts?
