2008 rxt 255 impeller

Advice please...... sucked rocks into pump.. ordered new impeller and wear ring.... i looked online to price Solas impellers but so many choices it got confusing... so I called a company and asked what impeller my RXT 255 needed..... the sales person told me 15/22 i questioned him as that sounded like to much pitch, he convienced me that what I needed. Installed it, big mistake, lost hole shot and 400-500 rpms top end......can anyone advise me to what I should be running???

Wanna go down the mod road? Add a 4" front air intake, take off that oem grate and replace with an r&d. You'll be pleasantly surprised how much "new" power you have...heh.

If not modding...you'll prolly be better off with a 15/20...and of course you can always tweak to suit your ride.

Thanks, I think the mod road is calling my name....... Riva Stage 1 ? Just really hurt for a GTX 215 to get me out of the hole.........

Yeah...getting smoked by a smaller ski would piss me off too.

Course...I'm usually the smaller ski so....don't happen all that often to me...heh.

You ain't gonna have to go down that stage road...no pun intended. You've already got decent power. You just gotta get the chokers taken off of your ride. That grate on your ski...oem?...huge drag. BRP figured the coast guard would be happy that way. An R&D grate for the '08rxt-x, a better air intake and correct prop is all you'll need to be seeing almost 75 or so.

Strange though, top speed still indicated 70 but rpm's are 7500, 70 before was 7900-8000 rpms....... you mentioned a 4" front atr intake, Riva"s is a 3" intake, who suppiles a 4 incher? The grate upgrade is a must.........
