2007 SeaDoo RXT 215 Level for oil checking measure
Hello, first post, just bought a 2007 RXT SeaDoo 215, and brought it to a dealer and had them do an oil change, and go through the PWC, as I never had one before. Prior to the service it would hit 8150 RPMs, after the service it will only hit 76-7700 RPMs. I check the dipstick and I believe it is overfilled with oil. I am negligent in actually knowing how to check the oil in regards to leveling the the SeaDoo, as everything I read, says to "level it" and then measure the oil. Can someone let me know what/where do I use as the place that I "put a level to measure" if my PWC is level. I have been told the bumper rail, I have heard on the engine. The Operator's manual says to "level it", as does the Service manual, but is doesn't tell me to level it based on what/where measurement/location. Currently if I level according to the bumper rail, I am an inch over the high mark on the oil dipstick, so those that are in the know, let me know how to "level" my PWC for checking the oil.
Thanks in advance,
Rick
