2007 RXP gauge cluster Program

Hello, I have a 2007 RXP 215. I bought an aftermarket gauge cluster. Everything on it, speed, rpms, etc, seems to work without programming. Is it unsafe to use the ski without having the shop program it. Also my shop says the hour meter will not work without aftermarket screens. Is that true? Thanks!!

Hours will reset to 0 on the cluster but it should work fine. I think the China factory that makes those flashes them with the MY2007 program as I've seen the 2007s work well with those clusters so it works pretty well without marrying. Still a good idea to flash and marry, not sure if overheat, low fuel, and all the error codes will read correctly without it being married.

Thanks. The ski worked well all weekend. I did notice that the trim gauge jumps from the very bottom to the middle to the top. I forgot to check the other small gauges as someone else was riding it. The hour meter did set to zero but now it doesn't change at all....even on the one that was married by the dealer.
