I have the opportunity to purchase one of these 3 choices.

1. 2-2006 RXP both with just over 100 hours on each and both just had the Superchargers rebuilt. Comes with Double Trailer. Seller asking $14000 Canadian.
2. 2-2008 RXP both with around 50 hours each and comes with a double trailer. Seller asking $16000 Canadian
3. 2-2017 Brand New Spark units with a brand new Karavan trailer for $17756.67 Canadian.

I used to to have a 2003 GTI LE and sold it a couple of years ago and do miss it. So which would you chose of the above 3 choices?

#2 There were some important upgrades in 07 like valves and sc washers. Price is a little high but not bad, I'd offer $14,500 CAD and see where it goes.

The 2008 years basically have the fewest factory issues of the used machines. That's what I would look at..

Also do check the rear motor mounts in the 08's as well as the jet drive tunnel. Some production runs have fibreglass cracks in that area. Other than that, the 08 years are pretty good.

Also Sparks are pretty great for "sport" riding, goofing around etc. For cruises or longer rides plus being
able to tow a skier legally (3 seats...) Sparks will not do it. I tested one last summer and while a gas for
Aggressive riding and playing around if you do not almost solely do that kind of riding you'll find they are uncomfortable on choppy waters and longer cruises like I said above. It's a true entry level ski. The one I rode vibrated pretty loud while at idle since they are so heavily made of plastic. That said they are terrific for the sport riding and excellent gas mileage. It really depends on riding style.

We have a seasonal campsite that is on a man made reservoir, so not going to be doing any long distance cruises and the water can develop chop but nothing huge.

The used prices are WAY more then I'd pay for a used ski in USA. For the money I'll deliver my 09 RXT-X and come back and. It another. You can buy my 09 easily for $6000. Which is $8000 right now in Canadian Dollars.

Right now that's $8100 CDN (close enough) + taxes at the border of 11% on the $8100 CDN = $9072.

Like I said, it all depends on the riding style you are going to do. I didn't notice the 2008's you mentioned are RXP's which are 2 seaters only so no legal towing so that part of my example
was incorrect.

So it just comes down to the $$ you want to spend but I'd do the 08's or the Sparks then.
