2006 Gtx won't start - just clicks!

I was out Sunday on the Chesapeake Bay, having a blast, running almost full out, on a pure glassy surface, stopped for a bit and could not get started again. I put a new battery in a few months ago, all the start up displays come up, but when I hit the start button, all I hear are clicks coming from the fuse panel area.

Any thoughts?

Check your cable connections on the battery terminals and the ground wire going to the engine by the starter. I have seen lots of times the problem is a loose or corroded wire.

9 times out of 10 it is your starter relay. Jump the two post on the starter relay. If it starts then it is the relay.

I have a 97 GTX, I can't find a diagram of which one is the relay / solenoid. Would you mind explaining how to jump the two posts by chance? I appreciate it
