Hello, i have a 2005 seadoo wake and whenever i go full throttle right away it stalls around 15 mph and has a little trouble plaining before then it takes off. Also is going around 40-45 instead of 60. Any suggestions?

thanks!

I noticed the same thing with my 2005 challenger. I just took it to the shop. Nearly positive it needs a new wear ring and/or impeller. I just bought it and was driving it around. was fun but seemed to lack any real power. Its like it spins real fast but your not going anywhere as fast as it seems it should be. Then when i tried to pull a skier it barely could get going. Did lots of research online and it seems to be the wear ring is the likely culprit. I will update if they find something different!

By "stalling" do you mean throttle cutting out momentarilly or just trouble getting to plane? Getting to plane is probably the wear ring. Check the clearance of it from the impeller.

Have fun is the name of the game.....

:agree: with fractus about the wear ring....high revs but no speed is cavitation.

Sounds like cavitation...ie wear ring/prop.

Also...with the age of your ski in mind...ever had the SC rebuilt yet? It might be slipping at higher revs. Another thing, check the prop's nose cone too....they will walk up the shaft and help the cavitation as well as top speed loss.
