just bought this ski and took it out for its 1st run . Previously upon giving it full throttle it wouldnt take off as if it was stuck or being governed. i figured it was the old gas so i pumped that gas out ...filled it with 93 octane and a fuel treatment. when i took it out today it took about a good 15 min into the ride for it to finally start gooing at high rpm but while at full throttle it would bog down then back up to full sleep. what do you think that can be?

so after about 1hr of riding while in idle it felt as if the rpm was dropping down then back up

at the end of the ride i turned it off by the ramp but then wouldnt turn back on not even a crank..nothing just a dead , luckily i was at the ramp......when i got home put the key in and started right up.

thinking of dropping it off at the mechanic but before i do id rather do it myself if its something that can be avoided dropping it off, thanks:cheers:

btw the gauges are disconnected since im waiting on some new gauges to come in.

performance issue

Yes, gas can chemically change after only 3-4 weeks, without useing Stabil to
prolong its original life useage. Most importantly is to not ride it when not performing.
Do a Compression test yourself first before getting friendly with a mechanic, and
read and understand the service manual troubleshooting, owner maintenance section and read other posts of similiarities of the year & model. It could be a dirty filter! A small piece of wood caught in the impeller/tunnel can kill the
thrust 98%. Just to name a couple of things you can check yourself, like the
battery CCA's & voltage, water in fuses or holders.
