Hey guys... So I've had a coolant leak for a long time. It's never really caused much of a problem until today... I got some over temps. I'd like to finish out the season before taking it apart to fix it. Can I use that radiator "stop leak" stuff for cars in there or will that cause problems? I can't imagine why it would be an issue... but who knows - figured I'd ask.

Sam.

NOOOO

It will likely stop the leak but it will also plug internal and important ports.

The stuff does its job, but at a cost. For example. All the little tubes in car radiators are what does the cooling. Jet skis are no different. The heat exchanger acts as a radiator on 4 strokes.

NOOO!!!!! Stop Leak is the devil!! Do not put that stuff into anything you value. It causes more damage than it fixes. Kinda like Fix-A-Flat.

Look at the two hoses that go into the rideplate. The hose clamps that are on these hoses rust away and cooling will leak. I have seen it happen a lot.
