Hi Guys, this site is very helpfull. keep up with the good work. Last weekend, after a 10 minutes ridding in saltwater with my Sea Doo it suddenly lost power and the engine cuts off. My Sea Doo has less than 25 hours on it. I tried to start the engine for about 10 times and it would not start (the starter works fine and the battery is good). I open the gas tank cover to avoid vacuum and also crack open the green bleeder valve on the gasoline line going to the carbursator to avoid high pressure, but it wouldn't start. After I trailed the Sea Doo back to the my garage, it suddenly started in the first attempt so I could flush the engine with fresh water. Any advice what this problem could be?

The plugs are new, I will have to check if there might be a fuel line clogged some where. I will keep you posted.Thanks.

No, No signs of code was visible on the dashboard panel. After the engine died I could hear at first the two beeps, and after 5 seconds 4 beeps repeatently every 5 seconds, which I guess, is the indication that the key is on the Dess and ready to start the engine.

You can check to see if you have any codes by putting the tether cap on, pushing the SET button 5 times and it should display them. Then use the mode switch to scroll thru the list, at the end of the list pushing the mode switch will end that function.

That is the procedure from another forum to check for any stored codes.

I thought there should only be 2 beeps???

I removed the negatieve cable from the battery for about 10 minutes. The p-1517 is still there. I assume that I will have to bring my SEADOO to the stealership and have this removed. But does this really solve the problem?

It is your compass function. Not sure how important you think that is. Also, there are manuals online if you feel froggy enough to play with it.

Possible cause:
Damaged sensor, damaged circuit wires, damaged connector or damaged MPEM output pins.
Service action:
Check compass connection.
Connect or disable compass in setting page.
