2005 GTX SC speed continuing to decrease

I bought and '05 GTX SC in July '12 with 7.5 hrs on it. At first it would run close to 60 top end. After a few rides, the top speed started decreasing into the 50s and now it won't break the 40s. I have swapped out the gas. Any other ideas. Thanks in advance.

A it is continuous and gradual, I doubt it is electrical or mechanical.

A common issue is if you have the older black fuel lines. Ethanol breaks them down and the plug the various components on a gradual basis.

Swap out your filter and see if it helps, if so, then I would get the ol style lines of ASAP to save your fuel system from plugging up.

If you have the newer grey lines, then you should be ok as far as fuel lines go.
