2005 GTX 255 not much faster than 02 GTX 155

I have an 02 GTX 155HP with only 120HRS and hits right around 57-58MPH on the speedo. My buddy just picked up an 05 GTX SC (believe its 255HP) with only 85hrs on it. We were out on the water last weekend and he was only pulling me by about 2-3MPH on the top end. With an extra 100HP I was expecting him to pull away by more than that. What does a good running 05 GTX SC top out at? Could the SC be down on power and need a rebuild?

Maybe his is only a 185HP version which would make more sense. Not sure. Its dark blue and white if anyone can confirm

Thats correct. it is 185hp not 255.

Yea my 2006 185hp tops out about 62mph.

I was going to say,, I own one of each and even as good as my 155 runs, my 255 SMOKES it..

Yip, approx 10mph gap between 155/255 and gets there much faster.
155/185 is much closer gap.
