1). Check the fuse
2). If it is good, unplug the VTS motor and run a positive and ground wire to the plug. It will move one way, swap the wires and it should move the other way.
3). If the above are good or function as they should, the odds are VERY high that the VTS module is defective. This is a pretty common issue.

No matter what you find, remove the boot in the back as I am betting you will find water in it. Replace or reseal as needed.

Also, if the module is defective, remove and LEAVE OUT the fuse for the VTS as it can easily kill the MPEM for some reason.

Coastiejoe thanks do you know which fuse is vts? And where that motor is located? I just picked up this rxp last week
Thanks

You will find the motor by looking at the VTS. The motor is mounted within the hull, normally way in the back on the left saide (Facing forward as tough you were on the ski).

Ok so fuse was blown..replaced it and still not seeing the indicator on the gauge screen...and fuse isnt blowing again...havent got a chance to take cover off the motor but thinking it shld blow again if theres water in there ahouldnt it?

It's been so long it could have drained out at this point. Remove the bellows and covers and see what you have.

Coastiejoe the pic attached showed there was def water in there at some point...what should i check now? One of the wires to the motor looks corroded but they are in those water tight wraps...thanks again for all of your help!
