I had my 2004 Seadoo RXP out on the water yesterday and as I was pulling in to put it on the floating docks I sucked up some debris. I wasn't able to accelerate it at all past idle without the whole hull rumbling and not gaining any speed. I idled it to the boat ramp and put it on the trailer to inspect it. I took the grate off to look inside the impeller. I found a piece of seaweed wrapped around the shaft and a stick about 3/8 thick and half an inch long stuck on one of the blades. I was able to remove both pieces of debris. I launched it back into the water and was able to get it to go about 10mph before the hull rumbling occurred again.
I do no see any damage to the blades or any internals through the grate area or from the back. There is, however, a floating plastic ring on the shaft that I am not sure where it belongs (maybe the reason for all of this?). Does anyone have any ideas on this problem? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
