2004 gti-rfi will not start

I accidentally hooked my battery up wrong (reversed polarity) and now it will not start after correction of the hook up. What can be checked as I now need to winterize.

I hate to say it but you might have cooked the computer...Check the fuses...If you are lucky it just blew a fuse...Marine engines and jetskis get really pissed when you hook up the battery backwards..

How many active fuses are there? and where are they located. Which should be checked?

I believe there is just one fuse cluster and it is on the ECM module,,I could be wrong?
