I recently developed this problem on both machines at the same time. Are there any magic buttons to push to get this message turned off or is it off to the dealer?

Note: I've tried holding the SET button after reading another thread but it doesn't work on these two sleds. The RXT also even runs slower with this message.

Thanks for any help in advance.

If you were talking about Pwc's I could help you but as far as "sleds" I have no clue. If you have the "MAINT" display, and you push the "set" button down for a few seconds it should go out, if it is just a scheduled maintenance issue. If it stays on, it is more than likely has a trouble code that needs to be bought to a seadoo dealer to have it resolved, and then cleared.

I hope this helps you understand it better.

Karl, Being a Michigander we do a little snowmobling as well with Ski-Doo's and they are called Sled's for short but the Sea-Doo's are like riding Sled's to.

Anyways we are talking about Pwc's and have tried the SET button routine and it doesn't remove the MAINT warning. I routinely change the oil & winterize them each fall so I guess I'm going the the dealer to get it fixed. Its not tossing any P-Codes after pressing the SET button down 5 times. I also read on another website that the SET procedure hold down for a few seconds only works on 2002 and early pwc's?

Thanks for your help. Craig

Try installing the lanyard (key) on that 2003 gtx water sled, but do not start. Then push set 5 times and see if codes appear. Mine was cleared by the dealer and now says "END" after the above process. Note; "MAINT" was appearing after every restart on my ski (after logging 150 hours), but would disappear after running a few seconds (maybe 5-10?).

Also, my friends 2006 models (1 reg & 1 s/c) do not have "set" buttons.

I used to work in a Kawasaki/ Seadoo dealership that was a skidoo dealer too. Yes, we called them sleds too, but water craft aren't sleds...no matter how you look at it. You might have to go to the dealer to have the PWC put on the B.U.D.S(Bombardier Utility Diagnostic System)( not the beer...) to have it checked out to see what the problem is.

Keep us posted on your PWC, uh Bike, uh Sled, uh water Sled... uh what ever you like to call it...:)
