I put the jet in the water for the season and it ran sluggish. I thought it might be bad gas and ran it for a few days. it never got past 5000 rpms and 30 mph. When its on the ramp flushing out, it sounds great and the rpms rev to 8500. However once I put it back in the water its now making a loud high pitched sound and vibrates a little more. I put my hand underneath and didnt feel as though there was a blockage. I still cant get it past 30mph. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the advice! I took the cover off and turns out one of the spark plugs was completely out. I think the shop where I took it to get winterized may have taken it out. So I put it back in and it runs great......For now.

That is just scary,,,

How someone can NOT put a spark plug back in amazes me...

Wow! Bad shop, I'd be calling them and giving a supervisor/owner a piece of my mind! I'd certainly never use that shop again, who knows what else they're screwing up when they service the watercraft? Bad mojo! :-(
