Ok I removed dry box with coil packs and checked all connections both 3 pin plugs had earth connectors pushed back so not a good connection and 1 coil pack had a slightly bent pin. Now wait till another wet test in a few days hopefully not to cold

P0351-ignition coil #1 cylinder open circuit or shorted to ground. Sounds intermittent. Check the connections.

Ok back to the river today code straight away. Cleared straight away then wot to 44mph fastest it’s ever been but had 1 little miss then all good load up and head home for new scan. What’s the procedure for resetting my tps if it’s needed?? And I’m thinking still a bad earth somewhere

Put a volt meter on the tps, but don’t unplug. I think it is the black/white wire and ground. Install the lanyard to power up, but don’t start. You have about 30seconds until you have to power up again. Volt meter should read around 6 volts. Depress the throttle to about 80% and read the meter. Should be 0 volts.
0% to 80% throttle should be about 5 volts.
80% to 100% throttle should be 0 volts.
Loosen the jam nut on the cable adjuster and adjust until 0 volts is achieved at 80% throttle.

I have not adjusted with my candoo yet because since I got it I have not needed to use that function. Maybe call the guys at candoo and ask. They are usually really helpful.

Still getting the P0352 fault. Have you checked the Mag ignition coil?
From the looks of it, the mag TPS is just out of spec.

Pulled every plug and checked continuity on earth wires from battery to coil packs and everything in between all good. What else to look for??

Ok went back and reread some posts.
Aftermarket fuel pump working for now correct?
6750rpms max with sporadic miss correct?
Sporadic maint light and able to reset correct?
Everything checked, cleaned and reset including WCV on the water box.
Still getting fault code P0352 or P0351. Those codes are for the two ignition coils in the rear ebox. I am wondering when the coils heat up during operation, they are somehow shorting/insulation breakdown and causing the miss at WOT.

Yes jhjesse everything you said correct but I’ve installed new coil packs. Once the rain stops I’ll start checking continuity on the other wiring to ebox I’m strongly leaning to an electrical short

So wifey took ski to a friends “marine mechanic” and it seems I’ve put Jeep spark plug Leeds on and that’s part of the problem??

Not exactly. The ones on cars are typically a carbon core whereas the skis use a stranded metal core. In addition to that some are resistor wires and some are even different for RF suppression. Just because they look the same on the outside doesn't mean they are.

Thanks mikidymac and jhjesse I’ll get the right ones and try again. I just replaced with what was on there not knowing

Ok on the river flat spot gone nice hole shot but only 42 mph 6650rpm but still fun still the search goes on

Full rpm should be 6900 so you are missing something. Could be low fuel pressure, rave valve but I would check the water regulator on the water box first.

The setting only determines when they open. Even fully down they would still be open at your rpm issues.

Not sure about this but reading other posts I see quite a few talk about bellows on the rave valves. is my ski supposed to have them??
