2003 GTX 4-tec external propulsion system question

Having the external propulsion system replaced on my 2003 GTX 4-tec. Is there anything else I should consider having upgraded or repaired while doing this? Just wanted to make sure I didn't end up getting these repairs and then having something else go wrong that could have been prevented. Thanks all!

I think you are speaking to your jet pump. Probably getting a new wear ring, seals, and lubricant in the nose cone, which will be nice. The only thing I am thinking of is a carbon seal, which is actually internal, but with everything apart and ski in the shop, it might be worth asking about. Just based on age, you may want to consider it, but if you are not getting excessive water in the hull when riding for a day, it may still be sealing fine. That is the seal on the driveshaft that keeps excessive water from the lake from coming into the hull.
