The engine in question is a 787. I just replaced the long block and saw someones post to mark before you remove, well that was after I had already removed the cup from the flywheel.
I have a shop manual, and it doesn't mention anything about it. The only thing it mentions is the the rotory valve timing.Where can I find a repair manual? Thanks
If you separated the "cup" as you call it from the flywheel it is quite simple to put back on in the correct position. I'm sure the alignment is in the manual.
