2003 4-Tec Supercharged won't start

Hey everyone! I'm new here. I just picked up a 2003 seadoo gtx 4-tec supercharged project. I have completed flushed the fuel system, confirm that my injectors work properly, I have great spark and compression, my intake and exhaust are free of any debris or blockages, and there are no unusual sounds or rattling. It will start on rare occasions but will not rev and idles rough until it just dies out. Any ideas would be appreciated

This might be a stupid question, but even if the timing is off shouldn't it still fire with starter fluid down the spark plug holes?

Okay so I feel like an idiot....
I pulled the plugs again and they were wet, so I dried them off and checked for spark again and it was very random now. So I threw new plugs in and it fired right up. New plugs should've been installed regardless, I guess just seeing a spark gave me false confidence. And comparing the old plugs to the new plugs now I see that the old plugs are also gapped wrong. Life lesson learned today, always replace plugs on a new project no matter what. All it took was many hours of hopeless diagnosing
