2002 SEA-DOO GTI 2 stroke Rotax

Hey guys. Recently bought a 2002 SEA-DOO GTI, 5558/5559/6116 and everything runs great except the neutral is not holding and the lever will fall onto the forward position. Forward and reverse work great. Would appreciate your guidance. Also, does anyone know a specific forum for this specific jetski? Thank you.

Is there a “friction” nut to increase the friction?

I didn't know that existed but let me Google it and figure out how to do it. I thought maybe the gears were bad but I'll check that first. Thank you.

Sometimes the return spring in the pump can weaken and affect the resistance on the arm.

There’s really no neutral, the reverse bucket is just down a little. They don’t stay in that position, you’re supposed to be holding it the entire time.

It’s not like neutral on a car as the impeller is always turning when the engine is running.

You are in the correct section for your ski.
