Hi folks. Brand new to this forum.

I've got a 2002 SeaDoo GTX 4-Tec with 215 hours on the engine. A few weeks ago, the CHK-ENG warning started coming on, and the code (P-0111) indicates an "intake manifold temperature sensor fault". So I had the local dealer replace the sensor, but $100 later I'm still getting the same error.

Machine still runs perfect and always has … except for the warning light. I've noticed the sensor fault is inermittent. From a cold start, it doesn't come on at slow speeds but always comes on above 40MPH or so. Then it comes and goes after that, even at slow speeds. So now it's decision time … what to do.

I'm tempted to just run it as-is until I get some type of consistent fault or the machine starts running less than perfect. Would that be stupid or risky?

I'm concerned that the dealer will gradually bleed me dry guessing which part to replace next. In its current faulted state, this machine is probably only worth $3K. Anyone had a similar situation?

Appreciate any advice or input. Thanks.
