Hello Everyone,
I am new just got on today. Having problems again with my Seadoo. searched all the threads, been on here for 5 hrs reading.
The battery is not charging. I charged the battery again, Started it again checked the voltage at the battery. Before starting it and was 12.7, at idle was 12.7, took it up to 3000 rpm still 12.7.
After a while the mantence light comes on but does not say low 12 volts but i put it on the charger and it is half dead.
So I assume that the charging system has died. Checked all fuses and double checked with a voltmeter all good.
I guess this means that the mag or the rectifier is bad. I seen a thread were the person says this is part of the mpem on my seadoo but on another thread i seen someone say there is a add on you can wire in or something like that. Lost that thread and could use any help possible.
On vacation up north in Wisconsin and the kids are killing me to get it going. Granted I can charge the battery and use it for a while but that gets old. If I can get parts ASAP would be great.
Thanks,
Rick

The Di engine is hard on it's regulator, and they are known to burn out. The problem is... some of them are internal of the MPEM... but there are a few companies who make an external conversion.

Thanks Tony for the not so good news that the di models go through regulators. I am still trying to find who sells the after market rectifier. Also I went through the shop manual and found out how to double check the hole charging system.
So today thats my plan.
Thanks again

If you give me an email address, I'll tel you where to get it. The site that I know of doesn't play nice with our forum.

BUT... before you condemn the regulator... have you checked the wires from the stator back up to the MPEM? Also, have you checked to make sure the stator is good? (just use a meter across the yellow wires coming from the engine)

Well, I am done and back up and going. Bought a rectifier from local marina OOOuuchhh!!!! But its going and the kids are happy again. Thanks to PWC for letting me join and use there service manuals...
Also Thanks to Tony for the responce and PWC for all the threads I went though...
