2000 seadoo xp drain hose?

Hey all, long time seadoo owner but I just joined the forum. I just did a complete rebuild on my seadoo 951. When I put the engine back in the ski, I noticed that the engine drain hose went under the tank, towards the back of the ski, but wasn't attached to anything. After looking in the manual, and from what I gathered from this forum, this hose is supposed to attach at the very back of the ski. I've been looking and feeling around for a few days now, and I can not seem to find any spot for this hose, anywhere. Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

isn't that the water IN from the jet pump? i had to think for a bit on what you were saying, it's been a while since I took one out. but yea, the very bottom hose should run from the back of the ski - off the jet pump system, and to the bottom of the engine. on the 951 jet pump there is a plastic hump on the starboard (maybe port) top side of the pump, it channels water pressure from the pump to the engine for cooling. if you are looking at the very back of the ski, from the inside, it should be visible. Snap a pic, post it, and I'll see if I can stick an arrow or circle on where it attaches. without this attached, your ski will RAPIDLY fill with water and sink

this is cooling water IN to the ski. I'm trying to recall what goes where. there's a hose on the bottom of the engine i'm 90% sure is water in. Do you have the factory manual?

I have the "water in" going to the fitting on the cylinder head. This is how it always has been on my ski. The hose labeled "drain hose (lowest point of circuit)" is attached on the fitting coming out of the side of the engine, at the very bottom. This is the same location it was prior to pulling the engine. When i pulled the engine, I disconnected everything, but didn't see this hose until after i lifted the engine, so i'm thinking this is when the hose came off its fitting at the back of the ski.
I have the bombardier shop manual for 2000 seadoo's, and on the cooling circuit diagram, it shows that the drain hose is one of three hoses that go to the pump. I have no fittings at the pump, or anywhere else on the ski (that I can see/feel) that don't already have a hose going to them. It's been a real head scratcher trying to figure this out over the last couple weeks.

I was the 951 guy (had over 5 running and 2 not running) 951s at my peak lol.

Now I'm almost a shade tree certified Mercruiser 350 mechanic... (replaced 2 last winter).

anyway, the drain hose should go to the back of the ski, on the opposite side from the water in, should be on that diagram above, it's a yellowish clear hose.

I think I found it. There's a small port on the starboard side. I poked a clothes hanger through it, and it came right out on the inside. Under a few other hoses. Thanks for all your input, I'll be sure to pick your brain when i go through my alpha 1 drive on my merc 350!

Thanks, a lot of work, came to me in really rough shape.

No worries - no matter the boat size, someone has a bigger one. Having 6 450Rs on the back might seem like overkill, but I'd drive that
