Hey ppl
I'm currently looking for a jet ski and one that has caught my eye is a 2000 model XP bombardier. It will be my first jet ski and atm i don't know much about jet ski's
Just wanted to know what people think about them? Are they reliable, fast and a good model?
Also what should i be looking at when going to look at ones to buy.
Thanks in advance

yea

that's a fine model. if you plan on having passengers and or using it to water ski / wake board / etc you will want a 3 seater... the GTX is a great model.

the 2 seater is faster 0-60 but the 3 is a smoother ride, especially if you have someone with you... 2 on the XP... gets old fast.

For the XP you want a 1998 to 2002 model, as these are all the 951 engine.

this is the biggest 2 stroke sea-doo ever made, and my personal favorite engine.

I was thinking about towing a donut on the back of it but ive heard that to tow you need a three seater? Can i still wake board on the xp?
Ill be mainly just having a passenger on the back
Not sure whether to get a 3 or 2 seater though as the 3 seaters are much larger :S
I like the fact that its the biggest 2 stroke sea-doo made. 2 stroke motors are the best

no

legally, i believe most if not all states require a 3 seater, and 3 people to ski/tow.

Can you use the XP to wakeboard? Yes. Legally? Depends on your location.

You are not in the US, so I have no idea...

Would you want to? prolly not. I wake board behind my GTX and I can pull it all over the place if I try... I bet I could spin the XP...

I'm not sure if they are the 'best' but they work for me.

If you want to have a passenger and tow, get the 3 seater...

or, get both, and have the best of both worlds...

if your mainly going to tow, get a 1998-2002 (i think) gtx limited with the 951 carb-ed or rfi or di (i'm not sure which fuel injection system they put on the gtx) you'll get better fuel econemy out of the efi's but they are more complicated to work on. xp's are fun but if your just starting out they will kick your butt. don't get me wrong, they're a great ride but only for one person.

ahh ok i will look into the gtx models. I would prefer to tow.
I really like the look of the XP's though they look really good. Hopefully the gtx look as good

yeah they look great. if you got the money, i'd get both. i have a 3 seater gts and its fun to pull people and ride two-up but they are more like driving a boat than a jet ski.
