Alright, I bought this jet-ski. I've been reading this site for 5 months now. It first started out as my own problem, but now it's turned into a complete catastrophe. 2000 gtx rfi. New battery, new starter. I put in a new oil pump on it recently, but it won't start, while in the water. I just cleaned the rave valves, put new gaskets on, and it still won't start. It's really getting old, and I just don't know what else to do. It feels like I have tried everything, but nothing seems to be fixing the problem. If I hook the hose up to it, it will start and run fine. But as soon as I get it into the water, it will turn over-and want to start, but nothing. I'm craving a simple fix.

Compression

Have you checked compression? Do you still have the grey fuel lines?

I see grey oil lines, but i think the gas lines are black. Will get the compression checked asap. Earlier in the summer it ran once around the lake but died 50 yards from the dock after I hit a nice sized wake, but since it has'nt started in the water. On the trailor it runs great. What gives? The last couple things i need to try (I think) is the coil pack, or the impeller.
