Last question what’re these black lines on the carb? Can’t I cut them to replace?

Those are for the accelerator pump and there’s no reason to replace them. They don’t go bad and the lower one actually has a small restrictor jet in it that’s really important.

Yes, for the most part, they last a long time. However, I had to replace 2 sets this year because they were hard and brittle. Makes it tough to switch the restrictor jet over.

What is the technical term for these two lines? I went ahead and took them off due to having a few cracks around where the clamps were

Fuel line?

I always replace when I'm rebuilding, and use 3/32 tygon.
Be sure to get the restrictor out of the old fuel line and use it in the new fuel line!

Found a restrictor and it will be here Saturday. How far into the line does it need to go? In the middle or at one of the ends?

It doesn’t really matter but if I remember correctly the factory puts it closer to the pump.

Which line does the fuel restrictor go into? The longer hose or shorter one?
