I have 00 GTI and took it out today and at an idle there was no water from my pee hole but when I gassed it there was a small amount of water...MIT this normal or is there something wrong??? Thanks guys!!! Great forum!!! Saved me tons of $$$$$

there should be a nice steady stream coming out.
Check to see if the hose is plugged....take it off the connections and use compressed air or a water hose to check/clear it.

If it's already clear then wait for some other answers to solve this.

Is the ski new to you?
Is this the first time out?
Did the over heat warning go off?

Heres another thread on subject.

The ski is new to me and 2nd time out but first was for 1 min!!! No over heat alarm or anything. Lines are clean too. On the trailer 2 ft stream,Just at idle in water.....no water comes out. When I get up on plane very little water comes out.

when you run on the hose on the trailer you are actually running water thru the system backward, so you may have a plug in your intake line

I would recommend pulling all the hoses, and blowing thought them with compressed air. That will normally either push the blockade out, or at least show you where it is.

when u say idle, how high of idle ????? mine idles about 2200 - 2300 on trailer and around 1800 in water, is your idle real low ????
also, when running, do you get a stream ????

well. i believe u have a blockage somewhere, take lines off and blow though with compressed air (everywhere) not just at ex manifold and pisser line, something is blocked up i believe , sand is an enemy

It's possible that your blockage is in the head. Remove the hoses and try blowing compressed air through the head. If the head is clogged and won't clear do this. Remove the temp. sensor and pour about a half of cup of draino let sit for 10-15mins. and flush with clear water.

This is an old shade tree mechanics trick to clear heat cores, but it will also work for SeaDoo's. Do this as a last resort and only if the head is clogged.

You may not have a blockage at all. Your problem may be "clearance" in the jetpumps wear ring. 0 to .008 is when its new but when the sand
and other debris eat away the clearance, you may not have noticed the top end speed loss, but your symptoms is indicative that your wear ring needs replaced. At .040 the ski will be cavitateing, engine reving, going nowhere.

The proceedure to check the rings clearance is pictoralized and step by step in your ski's Shop Manual, and in the How-To section of the forum.

I have a brand new impeller from solas and a new wear ring, new jet pump bearings new carbon seal. will the clearance still be an issue? thanks

clearance is everything, cause this is the reason you do change your wear rings, .010 is about the breakin point, u can check it from rear at impeller and underneath the ski, with a feeler guage, i still say you may have a blockage though, mine was blocked up with sand in pan under motor, had to remove hose in lower front mag side and hose at rear on bottom, then man the sand came out, flushed with water and air, and water and air, on and on till no sand,

Loudon what's draino I have the same problem and my exhaust is getting hot to the point that melts the pee hose

The jet pump has three inlets hole, when the pressure from acceleration forces water thru them into the engine, so take Dr H's advice and wire out each fitting and reattach your hoses.

You can put a restrictor into the hose end that goes out the thru-hull water outlet to increase line pressure to the pee spigot(s).

If you cannot put your hand on the engine from heat, your cylinder jackets may have sand inside blocking water flow. Its easy to remove the head,,vaccumn it out,
and retorque it

Drano is a caustic (mainly lye I believe) drain cleaner, most commonly used on kitchen sinks to clear clogs.

I think the hoses where crossed but not on the lake but at home with the garden hose the exahust is still kind of hot
