Can someone tell me where the screw on fuel filter is
supposed to be located. I can only locate an inline filter
on this rebuilt engine and am wondering if they didn't install
one.

Thanks

Andy

Andy, not sure the type of engine you have in your boat. Believe in that year, they had the Mercury, twin 787's, and if its the 14.5ft boat, 2-717's. If you've located an inline fuel lfilter, then there is no other one(screw type).

My "post" only coincides with the rotax motor set-up. The 14.5ft boat, should have 2-screw type filters.

Merc 210 carb

I've got the merc. Kinda small inline white
plastic filter. Wouldn't it be better to route to a larger
screw on water trapping filter?

What does the outboard version of the merc
use for fuel filter(s)?

Thanks

andy

Unfortunately the only filter on the carbureted 210 is the small screw on in-line filter. All the fuel injected models use a spin-on fuel/water separator, but not the carbureted version. If it bothers you, you may be able to find an aftermarket set-up for a water separator from any of the large marine supply houses.
