2000 bombardier GTX not able to rev pass 4700rpms

Hey guys, new here, just bought my first jet ski last week.

Being such a noob, the first time i took it out, i completely forgot to plug in the two holes at the rear to stop water from getting in the hull, as i was too eager to get it in the water. At first it was running perfectly after about 30 mins, it would not rev more then 4700rpms, took it out of the water, which was when i realized the two plugs. Took it home, gave it a clean, changed the spark plugs, next day took it out for another run, still same problem, and now it feels likes its running rich. When its out of water it revs out fine, any ideas where my problem may lie? any help/advice would be muchly appreciated!

Howd the ski run, prior to incident? Have you ran it before?

pull the lines off the raves (black caps on motor). Remove the raves as weel, to clean those. With motor being flooded, that line works from pressure off the case, which then goes to the silinoid, mounted on side of hull. Check that uot, the nreport back.

Well i've taken off the raves found little bit of water in them, still giving them a clean. I also took off the spark plugs(new just put them in), one seemed to have normal use, and one still looked brand new, could some fuel supply be blocked? i'll check if there's spark later.

Begin finding the problem, before you ride anymore. It should have 150 psi in both
cylinders, + or - 5 psi. If thats good, clean the carb screens. 99% of Seadoo problems are fuel system related.

Ok so I've checked the compression an one is at 140 and the other is at 150psi, where are the carb screens? Any pictures would be great, sorry for noon questions still new to jet skis

check the coil, clean the grounds/connectors, clip the plug wires at boots' ends.

If it is still firing on one cylinder after completion of the above suggestions, find out which cylinder (mag or pto) and switch the ignition coils around and see if the non firing cylinder starts firing. If so then change the bad coil.

good think'n jess....forgot, that that year and model of motor(951), has 2 coils.

Ok, well i've cleaned out the fuel screen, when i open the throttle butterfly i see the jets squirting fuel. I have checked the sparks on both plugs and they seem to be fine, tomorrow i will be putting the exhaust back on and giving it a shot. Are there any tips on starting the motor since all the fuel on the carbs have been removed?

So everything's back together now, and it wont turn on =/

Put a shot of fuel down it throat, and check for any sign of spark.

If it fires.... let it idle for 20 seconds, or so... then shut it off. Then, feel the base of the spark plugs. One will be warm... and one will be cold, if it's firing on one jug.
