So my buddy bought 2 new 2009 GTI SE 130's. They both ran fine the few times he had them out. This past weekend we were out of town on a trip. First couple of days they both ran fine.
One morning we were heading out. You have to go through a huge area with a ton of docks and floating houses. You cruise along in the no wake zone for about 1/2 mile, like 15 minutes. Once we hit the end of that no wake zone, he tried to accelerate. The ski would not move. It would rev up to like 7000 rpm but not go over 5 mph. The whole thing would vibrate and sound horrible. We were right next to the marina, so we stopped and pulled it up on the dandy dock. We let it sit while we ate, came back out and pushed it off into the water and looked underneath. Nothing stuck in the intake. At this time the ski was over 9 hours, but not yet to 10.
The other ski was running fine before going into the marina. It also was just over 9 hours. Well it sat there running for a few minutes while he looked at the broken one, when our other friend tried to accelerate, it did the exact same thing. He limped them back to the dock and loaded them up. Came home and they have been sitting since.
So, both skis wont move and both are just under 10 hours. I find it very odd they both do it at the same time. Nothing is obviously in either intake. Do these go into a limp mode when you hit 10 hours to make you goto the dealer?
